A Vision for Congregational Song

Congregational song nurtures a relationship with God and not just an experience with God.

Congregational song expresses emotion without focusing on emotional stimulation.

In response to our Lord's greatest commandment, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (Matthew 22:37, NIV), congregational song fosters worship, not just in public services but in every aspect of daily living. Song encourages faith, holy living, and Christian service.

Congregational song also gives primacy to our Lord's second greatest commandment: Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39).

To fulfill its calling, congregational song spills out of the Sunday service and into daily lives. It enriches daily devotional practice and nourishes prayer. Song goes wherever prayer goes.

Musically, congregational songs are easy for God's people to sing together. They are simple enough and profound enough to cross the barriers of time and style necessary to serving the Body of Christ.
