I'll Sing of You

I've made so many plans,
Magnificent and grand,
And thought that surely someday they'd come true.
But now I find these dreams
More selfish than they seemed.
My Lord, I only long to sing of You.

For You are all that's lovely,
And You are all that's true,

If I could live a thousand years
And write a thousand songs,
