Lyrics

With light and darkness shifting,
In many a gust and gale,
We travel through this vast unknown.
Our courage begins to fail.
These weary hearts grow thirsty
While trudging the endless sands,
But mercy drops refresh our way.
We’re crossing Immanuel’s land.

Yes, Hate has often claimed it.
Destruction has scarred its soul.
But Love has come and bought it all.
The Maker is in control.
Now life and peace are blooming
As far as our faith can see,
Yet all are but His promises,
The shadows of what will be.

With joy we travel onward
Though valleys are just ahead,
For we are bound for higher ground
Where beauties unseen are spread.
This wilderness around us
Will blossom as Love has planned,
For where He goes all heaven grows,
And this is Immanuel’s land.
